  • Coordinates HR communications and correspondence through the company newsletter, bulletin boards, Super Sign TVs, intranet articles, etc.

  • Assists in recruiting and staffing, including screening resumes and applications when needed, being the administrator for the applicant tracking and drug screen systems, scheduling and leading new hire orientation and providing new hire information to internal departments.

  • Acts as training administrator. Coordinates and communicates employee training and development activities and events.

  • Tracks documents for employee changes such as new hires, terminations and status changes.

  • Maintains job descriptions and onboarding plans/checklists.

  • Assists or co-leads event planning, rewards and recognition celebrations and employee activities.

  • Maintains accurate database records and files including personnel files, safety reporting, temporary hours worked, badging, etc.

  • Provides timely service to internal and external customers professionally and with required discretion.

  • Creatively considers ways to increase efficiency, contain costs and make improvements on a continual basis.

  • Provides back-up support for the Receptionist for lunch, special events and vacation.

  • Provides HR reporting as needed.

  • Maintain and foster a professional, teamwork and customer service-oriented attitude among peers, customers and visitors.

  • Provides timely service to internal and external customers professionally and with required discretion.

  • Respects co-workers and fosters atmosphere of teamwork. Serves as role model for HR associates and among peers.

  • Creatively considers ways to increase efficiency, contain cost, and make improvements on a continual basis.

  • Develops and maintains positive employee relations and promotes company values.

  • Demonstrate a Continuous Improvement mindset – through participation in events and activities that lead to financial gain, time savings, and/or waste reduction for the business.


  • Associates degree (or in pursuit of same; preferably in Human Resources); or two years’ experience working in a support capacity as an Administrative Assistant or performing clerical work in a Human Resources Department.

  • Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel PowerPoint, type 45 wpm. HR applicant tracking and other HR database experience preferred (PeopleSoft, Kenexa Brass Ring, etc.)
