Masco Cabinetry has an immediate opening for a Communications Specialist at our corporate headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI!

Support marketing, public relations and corporate communications efforts including, developing field communications, events and special projects, intranet and internet content, editorial, and presentations.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research, write, edit and proofread a wide range of marketing and public relations materials including, but not limited to, print and electronic newsletters, presentations, press materials, interactive and social materials, promotion and advertising campaigns, web content, and customizable marketing materials for key accounts and channels ensuring all materials meet quality assurance standards.
Coordinate the review process of communications documents and verify all materials accurately reflect applicable legal policies and procedures, brand standards, and product-related details. Review materials for grammar, clarity, consistency of style, theme, and brand and corporate standards.
Coordinate with external marketing agencies and internal departments to complete needed materials according to established project deadlines.
Share requirements and specifications with external communications firms.
Work with team members to help develop efficient communication work flow and processes.
Manage Masco Cabinetry website, social channels and intranet site.
Develop, edit and publish Masco Cabinetry internal quarterly newsletter.
Support brand teams with review and execution of weekly/monthly communications on internal and external channels.
Produce and distribute internal reports as needed.
Perform administrative tasks as required.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, journalism, public relations or related field.
Working knowledge of marketing, public relations and branding principles.
Demonstrated successful ability to perform accurate work under the pressures of tight schedules.
Familiarity with graphic design software such as InDesign, Quark, Photoshop.
Meticulous proofreading abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.
Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
Experience with internet related applications.
Experience in social media and intranet related applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
1-3 years working experience in marketing and/or public relations.
Familiarity with the manufacturing and/or building industry.
